हनूमानुवाच प्रसीद नास्ति मे शक्तिरुत्थातुं जरयानघ । ममानुकम्पया त्वेतत्‌ पुच्छमुत्सार्य गम्यताम्‌,हनुमानजी बोले--अनघ! मुझपर कृपा करो। बुढ़ापेके कारण मुझमें उठनेकी शक्ति नहीं रह गयी है। इसलिये मेरे ऊपर दया करके इस पूँछको हटा दो और निकल जाओ

Transliteration

hanūmān uvāca prasīda nāsti me śaktir utthātuṃ jarayā anagha | mamānukampayā tv etat puccham utsārya gamyatām ||

Translation

Hanuman said: “Be gracious. Blameless one, because of old age I no longer have the strength to rise. Therefore, out of compassion for me, please move this tail aside and go on your way.”
