Educational Q&A

Righteous giving (dāna), especially go-dāna, performed in a sacred context and with a pure intention, is a dharmic act that generates merit and becomes worthy of remembrance; praising such virtue reinforces ethical norms within the community.

After donating thousands of cows at various tīrthas near the ocean, Yudhiṣṭhira, together with his brothers, joyfully and repeatedly recounts and celebrates Arjuna’s cow-gift, emphasizing its significance.
