Then, undaunted in spirit even amid that great crisis, King Yudhiṣṭhira went to Balarāma, to Janārdana (Kṛṣṇa), to Kāṛṣṇi (Pradyumna), to Sāmba, to the grandson of Śini (Sātyaki), and to the other Vṛṣṇis; approaching each in turn, he honored them with due reverence in accordance with dharma.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even in adversity, one should not let inner strength collapse; dharma is upheld through proper respect, humility, and right conduct toward allies and elders, rather than through panic or discourtesy.
In a time of great difficulty, Yudhiṣṭhira personally approaches Balarāma, Kṛṣṇa, Pradyumna, Sāmba, Sātyaki, and other Vṛṣṇis, and formally honors them according to dharma, showing composed leadership and maintaining alliances.
