Ṛśyaśṛṅgopākhyāna-praveśaḥ — Lomāśa narrates the origins of Ṛśyaśṛṅga and the Anga drought (ऋश्यशृङ्गोपाख्यान-प्रवेशः)
इह देवास्तदा सर्वे यज्ञानाजहुरुत्तमान् तेषामेतानि लिड्जानि दृश्यन्तेद्यापि भारत,उन दिनों सम्पूर्ण देवताओंने यहाँ आकर उत्तम यज्ञोंका अनुष्ठान किया था। भारत! उनके ये चिह्न आज भी प्रत्यक्ष देखे जाते हैं
iha devās tadā sarve yajñān ājahur uttamān | teṣām etāni liṅgāni dṛśyante ’dyāpi bhārata ||
Here, long ago, all the gods came and performed excellent sacrificial rites. O Bhārata, the marks and signs of those sacrifices are still visible even today.
लोगमश उवाच
Sacred places are validated by remembered divine action: the enduring ‘signs’ of past yajñas function as ethical and religious testimony, encouraging reverence for dharmic rites and trust in inherited tradition.
Lomāśa points out a particular holy spot during the pilgrimage narrative and tells the Bharata prince that the gods once performed great sacrifices there, and that their traces can still be seen.
