Educational Q&A

The line frames the scene through a locative-absolute construction, emphasizing that significant counsel and action should proceed after proper seating, order, and the undertaking of r̥ṣi-approved (ārṣya) observances—signaling respect for dharma and tradition before decisive events.

Vaiśampāyana sets the stage: the participants are seated in the assembly, and the prescribed sacred/traditional preliminaries have been taken up; the narration is about to move into the next action or speech that follows this formal preparation.
