कृष्णेन विदुरं प्रति आगमन-हेतु-निवेदनम् / Krishna explains the purpose of his coming to Vidura

भीष्मे द्रोणे कृपे कर्णे द्रोणपुत्रे जयद्रथे । भूयसी वर्तते वृत्ति न शमे कुरुते मन:,“वह भीष्म, द्रोणाचार्य, कृपाचार्य, कर्ण, अश्वत्थामा तथा जयद्रथयर अधिक भरोसा रखता है, अतः उसके मनमें संधि करनेका विचार ही नहीं होता है

bhīṣme droṇe kṛpe karṇe droṇaputre jayadrathe | bhūyasī vartate vṛttir na śame kurute manaḥ ||

Vaiśaṃpāyana said: “His confidence and reliance rest predominantly on Bhīṣma, Droṇa, Kṛpa, Karṇa, Droṇa’s son (Aśvatthāmā), and Jayadratha; therefore his mind does not turn toward peace, nor does he form any resolve for reconciliation.”
