विदुरस्य कृष्णं प्रति शमोपदेशः

Vidura’s Counsel to Krishna on the Limits of Peace

न च तत्‌ कारणं विद्यो यस्मिन्‌ नो मधुसूदन । पूजां कृतां प्रीयमाणैर्नामंस्था: पुरुषोत्तम,“मधुदैत्यका विनाश करनेवाले पुरुषोत्तम! हमें ऐसा कोई कारण नहीं जान पड़ता, जिसके होनेसे आप हमारी प्रेमपूर्वक अर्पित की हुई पूजा ग्रहण न कर सकें

na ca tat kāraṇaṁ vidmo yasmin no madhusūdana | pūjāṁ kṛtāṁ prīyamāṇair nāma sthāḥ puruṣottama ||

“O Madhusūdana, we do not know of any reason on account of which you would not accept the worship we offer with affection and sincere delight. O Puruṣottama, please do not withhold your gracious presence from this loving act of reverence.”
