Kṛṣṇa at Duryodhana’s House: Refusal of Hospitality and Departure to Vidura (कृष्णस्य धार्तराष्ट्रनिवेशनगमनम्)

अविलोपेन धर्मस्य अनिकृत्या परंतप । प्रभावज्ञास्मि ते कृष्ण सत्यस्याभिजनस्यथ च,परंतप श्रीकृष्ण! धर्मका लोप न करते हुए, छल और कपटसे दूर रहकर समयोचित कार्य करना चाहिये। मैं तुम्हारी सत्यपरायणता और कुल-मर्यादाका भी प्रभाव जानती हूँ

avilopena dharmasya anikṛtyā parantapa | prabhāvajñāsmi te kṛṣṇa satyasyābhijanasya ca ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “O Parantapa, act in a timely and fitting way without allowing dharma to be diminished, and keeping far from deceit and crookedness. O Kṛṣṇa, I know well the power of your commitment to truth and the strength of your noble lineage and its code of conduct.”
