Krishna’s Entry into Hastināpura and Court Reception

Duryodhana said: “Father, whatever Vidura has said about Kṛṣṇa is entirely true—about Acyuta, who never falls from propriety. Janārdana’s affection for the sons of Pṛthā is steadfast and unbreakable; therefore he cannot be detached from their side.”
Even an adversary may recognize truth: Kṛṣṇa’s conduct is grounded in steadfastness (Acyuta) and unwavering loyalty to those aligned with dharma (the Pāṇḍavas). Ethical constancy becomes a decisive factor in political outcomes.
In the Kuru court context of the war’s approach, Duryodhana acknowledges that Vidura’s assessment of Kṛṣṇa is accurate: Kṛṣṇa cannot be won over from the Pāṇḍavas because his attachment and commitment to them is firm.
