Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 50 — Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Appraisal of Bhīmasena (भीमसेनभयवर्णनम्)

वीथीं कुर्वन्‌ महाबाहुद्रावयन्‌ मम वाहिनीम्‌ । नृत्यन्निव गदापाणियगान्तं दर्शयिष्यति,महाबाहु भीम मेरी सेनामें घुसकर अपने रथके लिये रास्ता बनाता, मेरी विशाल वाहिनीको खदेड़ता और हाथमें गदा लिये नृत्य-सा करता हुआ जब आगे बढ़ेगा, तब प्रलयकालका दृश्य उपस्थित कर देगा

vīthīṁ kurvan mahābāhur drāvayan mama vāhinīm | nṛtyann iva gadāpāṇir yāgāntaṁ darśayiṣyati ||

Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: “That mighty-armed one will carve a path through the ranks, driving my army into flight. Whirling forward as if in a dance, mace in hand, he will make the battlefield appear like the very end-time of the world.”
