Vaiśampāyana said: Present there in heaven were the Ādityas and the Sādhyas, and the Seven Sages; Viśvāvasu the Gandharva, and the auspicious companies of Apsarases as well. The scene underscores a solemn, cosmic assembly—where even celestial orders gather as witnesses to matters of counsel and right conduct, suggesting that decisions affecting the world are to be weighed in the presence of dharma and the highest authorities.

Educational Q&A

By listing sages and celestial orders as present, the verse frames the event as one under the gaze of dharma and cosmic authority—implying that major decisions should be made with reverence, accountability, and alignment with righteous order.

Vaiśampāyana describes a heavenly gathering in which various divine classes (Ādityas, Sādhyas), the Seven Sages, the Gandharva Viśvāvasu, and hosts of Apsarases are present—setting the stage for a solemn, high-stakes council-like scene.
