Vaiśampāyana said: O Janamejaya, having heard Brahmā’s words, Indra went to that place together with all the hosts of gods, led by Bṛhaspati, where the two sages were performing austerities.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the moral hierarchy in which divine powers heed Brahmā’s instruction and approach ascetic sages, implying that tapas and righteous counsel command respect even from the gods.
After hearing Brahmā’s words, Indra—accompanied by all the gods and led by Bṛhaspati—travels to the place where two sages are engaged in austerities.
