यदा शिनीनामधिपो मयोक्तः: शरै: परान्‌ मेघ इव प्रवर्षन्‌ | प्रच्छादयिष्यत्यरिहा योधमुख्यां- स्तदा युद्ध धार्तराष्ट्रोडन्वतप्स्यत्‌

Transliteration

yadā śinīnām adhipo mayoktaḥ śaraiḥ parān megha iva pravarṣan | pracchādayiṣyaty arihā yodhamukhyāṁs tadā yuddhe dhārtarāṣṭro ’dunvatapsyat ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: “When the lord of the Śinis—urged on by me—rains down arrows upon the enemy like a cloud pouring forth, and covers over those foremost warriors who are hostile, then in that battle the son of Dhṛtarāṣṭra will be scorched with anguish.”
