Sañjaya’s Report
महोरस्को दीर्घबाहु: प्रमाथी युद्धेडद्धितीय: परमास्त्रवेदी । शिनेर्नप्ता तालमात्रायुधो<यं महारथो वीतभय: कृतास्त्र:,शिनिके पौत्र महारथी सात्यकि चार हाथ लंबा धनुष धारण करते हैं। उनकी छाती चौड़ी और भुजाएँ बड़ी हैं। वे अद्वितीय वीर हैं और युद्धमें शत्रुओंको मथ डालते हैं। उन्हें उत्तम अस्त्रोंका ज्ञान है। वे निर्भय तथा अस्त्रविद्याके पारंगत विद्वान हैं
mahorasko dīrghabāhuḥ pramāthī yuddhe dvitīyaḥ paramāstravedī | śiner naptā tālamātrāyudho 'yaṃ mahāratho vītabhayaḥ kṛtāstraḥ ||
Sañjaya said: “This Sātyaki—broad-chested and long-armed—is a crushing warrior, second to none in battle. He is the grandson of Śini, a great chariot-fighter whose weapon reaches the measure of a tāla (palm-tree), fearless and fully trained in the science of arms. In this catalogue of champions, his praise signals not mere physical might but disciplined mastery and steadiness of heart amid the coming war.”
