Sanatsujāta on Vedic Learning, Truth (Satya), and the Discipline of Dama–Tyāga–Apramāda
इति श्रीमहाभारते उद्योगपर्वणि सनत्सुजातपर्वणि सनत्सुजातवाक्ये चतुश्नत्वारिंशो5ध्याय:
iti śrīmahābhārate udyogaparvaṇi sanatsujātaparvaṇi sanatsujātavākye catuścatvāriṃśo 'dhyāyaḥ
Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Udyoga Parva, in the section concerning Sanatsujāta, in the discourse spoken by Sanatsujāta, ends the forty-third chapter.
सनत्युजात उवाच
This line is a colophon (chapter-ending marker), not a teaching verse. It identifies the textual location: Mahābhārata → Udyoga Parva → Sanatsujāta Parva → Sanatsujāta’s discourse, and notes the completion of Chapter 43.
The narrative pauses to formally close the chapter. It signals that the portion of Sanatsujāta’s discourse contained in this chapter has concluded, before the text proceeds to the next chapter/section.
