Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 34 — Vidura’s Counsel on Deliberation, Speech-Discipline, and Dharmic Kingship
अनसूयु: कृतप्रज्ञ: शोभनान्याचरन् सदा । न कृच्छूं महदाप्रोति सर्वत्र च विरोचते,दोषदृष्टिसे रहित शुद्ध बुद्धिवाला पुरुष सदा शुभकर्मोका अनुष्ठान करता हुआ महान् सुखको प्राप्त होता है और सर्वत्र उसका सम्मान होता है
an-asūyuḥ kṛta-prajñaḥ śobhanāny ācaran sadā | na kṛcchraṁ mahad āpnoti sarvatra ca virocate ||
Vidura says: A person free from envy, steady in understanding, and always practicing noble conduct does not fall into great distress. Such a person shines everywhere—winning regard and honor through a mind purified of fault-finding and a life devoted to auspicious deeds.
