अध्याय २९ — वासुदेव–संजय संवादः
Karma, Varṇa-Dharma, and the Ethics of Governance
ये चाप्यन्ये संश्रिता धार्तराष्ट्रान् नानादिग्भ्यो5 भ्यागता: सूतपुत्र । दृष्टवा तांश्चैवार्हतश्चापि सर्वान् सम्पृच्छेथा: कुशलं चाव्ययं च,सूतपुत्र! इनके सिवा विभिन्न दिशाओंसे आये हुए दूसरे-दूसरे लोग धृतराष्ट्रपुत्रोंका आश्रय लेकर रहते हैं। उन सब माननीय पुरुषोंसे भी मिलकर उनकी कुशल और क्या वे जीवित बचे रहेंगे, इस सम्बन्धमें भी प्रश्न करना
ye cāpy anye saṁśritā dhārtarāṣṭrān nānādibhyo 'bhyāgatāḥ sūtaputra | dṛṣṭvā tāṁś caivārhataś cāpi sarvān sampṛcchethāḥ kuśalaṁ cāvyayaṁ ca, sūtaputra ||
Yudhiṣṭhira said: “And there are also others—men who, coming from many different regions, have taken refuge with the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra. When you see them, and indeed all those worthy of honor, you should greet them and inquire after their welfare—and also whether they remain safe and unharmed, O son of a charioteer.”
