Drupada’s Alarm and Inquiry Regarding Śikhaṇḍinī (द्रुपदस्य भय-विमर्शः)

ततः सम्प्रेषयामास टद्रुपदो5पि महात्मने । हिरण्यवर्मणे दूत॑ ब्राह्मणं वेदपारगम्‌,तदनन्तर द्रपदने भी महामना हिरण्यवर्माके पास वेदोंके पारंगत विद्वान्‌ ब्राह्मणको दूत बनाकर भेजा

tataḥ sampreṣayāmāsa tad rupoḍo 'pi mahātmane | hiraṇyavarmaṇe dūtaṁ brāhmaṇaṁ vedapāragam ||

Then King Drupada too dispatched, as an envoy to the noble Hiraṇyavarman, a learned Brahmin who had mastered the Vedas.
