Then he went to Vatsabhūmi, a land frequented by Siddhas and Cāraṇas, and reached the hermitage of great-souled ascetics whose conduct was holy.
राम उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical value of seeking guidance and clarity in places and communities marked by purity and disciplined conduct—suggesting that proximity to the holy (sages, ascetics, perfected beings) supports right judgment and dharmic orientation.
Rāma describes a journey: after some prior event, he proceeds to Vatsabhūmi and arrives at a hermitage inhabited by great ascetics, a place also visited by Siddhas and Cāraṇas—setting the scene for counsel, encounter, or instruction in a spiritually authoritative setting.
