तथैव च पृषत्कानां शतानि नतपर्वणाम् । चिक्षेप कड़कपत्राणां जामदग्न्यरथं प्रति,इसी प्रकार परशुरामजीके रथकी ओर मैंने गीधकी पाँख और झुकी हुई गाँठवाले सौ बाण चलाये
tathaiva ca pṛṣatkānāṃ śatāni nataparvaṇām | cikṣepa kaḍakapatrāṇāṃ jāmadagnyarathaṃ prati ||
Rāma said: “In the same manner, I hurled hundreds of arrows—some with bent joints and others feathered like a vulture’s wing—straight toward the chariot of Jāmadagnya (Paraśurāma).”
राम उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined engagement in conflict: even in a high-stakes confrontation, the warrior responds with controlled, skillful action consistent with kṣatriya norms, emphasizing restraint and competence over impulsive violence.
Rāma describes shooting large numbers of specialized arrows—identified by their bent joints and distinctive feathering—aimed at the chariot of Jāmadagnya (Paraśurāma), indicating an intense exchange in their martial encounter.
