Krishna’s appraisal of Pandava advantage and war portents
इष्टं च बहुभिय्यज्ञै: सह सूतैर्मयासकृत् । आवाहाश्न विवाहाश्नव सह सूतैर्मया कृता:,वहाँ मैंने सूतोंके साथ मिलकर बहुत-से यज्ञोंका अनुष्ठान किया है तथा उन्हींके साथ रहकर अनेकानेक कुलधर्म एवं वैवाहिक कार्य सम्पन्न किये हैं
iṣṭaṃ ca bahubhir yajñaiḥ saha sūtair mayā sakṛt | āvāhāś ca vivāhāś ca saha sūtair mayā kṛtāḥ |
Karna said: “Many sacrifices have been performed by me repeatedly in the company of the sūtas; and living among them, I have also carried out numerous rites of family custom, including betrothal and marriage ceremonies. Thus my life has been bound up with them in religious duty and social conduct alike.”
