उद्योगपर्व (अध्याय १२९) — केशवस्य वैभवप्रदर्शनम् / Krishna’s Theophanic Display in the Kuru Assembly
एते वा मामहं वैनाननुजानीहि पार्थिव । विदुरके ऐसा कहनेपर भगवान् केशवने समस्त सुहृदोंके सुनते हुए राजा धुृतराष्ट्रकी ओर देखकर कहा--'राजन! ये दुष्ट कौरव यदि कुपित होकर मुझे बलपूर्वक पकड़ सकते हों तो आप इन्हें आज्ञा दे दीजिये। फिर देखिये, ये मुझे पकड़ पाते हैं या मैं इन्हें बन्दी बनाता हूँ || २३-२४ ह || एतान् हि सर्वान् संरब्धान् नियन्तुमहमुत्सहे
etān hi sarvān saṁrabdhān niyantum aham utsahe
Vaiśampāyana said: “I am indeed able to restrain all of these men when they are inflamed with anger.” In context, this underlines that brute force and wrath cannot prevail over rightful authority and self-mastery; the speaker asserts the capacity to check violent escalation and prevent adharma from overrunning the assembly.
