Haryaśva’s Agreement with Gālava and the Birth of Vasumanā
Nārada’s narration
tad garuḍa-sahitaḥ gālavane us kanyā-ko lekara kathayām āsa—“accha, vayaṁ punaḥ kadācit miliṣyāmaḥ.” rājñe evaṁ uktvā gālava-muniḥ kanyayā saha tataḥ prasthitaḥ. upalabdham idaṁ dvāram aśvānām iti cāṇḍajaḥ uktvā gālavam āpṛcchya jagāma bhavanaṁ svakam.
Then, accompanied by Garuḍa, Galava took the maiden and said, “Very well; we shall meet again.” Having spoken thus to the king, the sage Galava departed from that place with the girl. Thereafter Garuḍa, the son of Vinatā, declared, “Now you have found the gateway to obtaining the horses,” and, taking leave of Galava, returned to his own abode.

Right action is supported by timely guidance: Garuḍa does not simply grant the goal, but indicates the proper ‘gateway’ (dvāra) to obtain it, emphasizing discernment, perseverance, and ethical fulfillment of one’s obligation.
Gālava departs with the maiden after speaking to the king. Garuḍa then tells Gālava that he has now found the means to obtain the horses and, after bidding farewell, returns to his own abode.
