गालवस्य विषादः तथा विष्णुप्रयाणम्

Gālava’s Despair and Resolve to Seek Viṣṇu

निर्बन्धतस्तु बहुशो गालवस्य तपस्विन: । किंचिदागतसंरम्भो विश्वामित्रो5ब्रवीदिदम्‌

nirbandhatas tu bahuśo gālavasya tapasvinaḥ | kiñcid āgata-saṃrambho viśvāmitro 'bravīd idam ||

Nārada said: When the ascetic Gālava pressed him repeatedly with insistent requests, Viśvāmitra—stirred to a measure of impatience—spoke these words. The passage highlights how persistent importunity can strain even a disciplined sage, and how a teacher’s response may arise from the need to set ethical limits rather than from mere anger.
