Having said, “I have eaten; you may remain here for now,” the venerable Lord Dharma departed from that place. O King, then the radiant sage Viśvāmitra stayed on, standing just as he was—enduring the situation in silence and restraint.
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights dharma expressed as restraint and endurance: even when dismissed or left waiting, a disciplined person maintains composure and steadiness rather than reacting with anger or entitlement.
Dharma tells Viśvāmitra that he has already eaten and instructs him to stay for the moment; Dharma then leaves. Viśvāmitra, described as greatly radiant, remains standing there exactly as he was, continuing to bear the circumstance.
