Strī Parva, Adhyāya 2 — Vidura’s Consolation on Kāla, Karma, and the Limits of Lamentation (विदुरोपदेशः)

A man should strike down the sorrow of the mind with wisdom and reflection, and remove the afflictions of the body with medicines. This is the power of true knowledge; he should not behave with childish lack of discernment.
