अग्राह्य-ज्ञातिसंबन्धमण्डल-विवेचनम् / Managing Unreadable Kinship Networks: Vāsudeva–Nārada on Cohesion
अर्थहेतोहि कामाद् वा वाचा बीभत्सयापि वा । आत्मना प्राप्तमैश्वर्यमन्यत्र प्रतिपादितम्,आपने स्वयं जिस ऐश्वर्यको प्राप्त किया था, उसे किसी प्रयोजनवश या स्वेच्छासे अथवा कटुवचनसे डरकर दूसरेको दे दिया
artha-hetoḥ hi kāmād vā vācā bībhatsayāpi vā | ātmanā prāptam aiśvaryam anyatra pratipāditam ||
Nārada said: Even if it is for the sake of profit, or out of desire, or even out of fear caused by harsh and repulsive words, one should not transfer to another the sovereignty and prosperity that one has attained by one’s own effort. To hand over one’s self-won power elsewhere, under such motives, is a moral failing and a lapse in steadfastness.
