ततः सहस्रं विप्राणां चतुर्वेदविदां तथा । गवां सहस््रेणैकैंके वाचयामास माधव:,वहाँ अग्निहोत्र करनेके अनन्तर भगवान् माधवने चारों वेदोंके विद्वान् एक हजार ब्राह्मणोंको बुलाकर प्रत्येकको एक-एक हजार गौएँ दान कीं और उनसे वेदमन्त्रोंका पाठ एवं स्वस्तिवाचन कराया
Translation
Then, after performing the Agnihotra, the Lord Mādhava summoned a thousand brāhmaṇas learned in the four Vedas. To each he bestowed a gift of a thousand cows, and he had them recite Vedic mantras and pronounce auspicious benedictions (svasti).
