भीष्मदर्शनार्थं प्रस्थानम्

न सैनिकैश्नव यातव्यं यास्थामो वयमेव हि । न च पीडयिततव्यो मे भीष्मो धर्मभूतां वर:

Transliteration

na sainikaiḥ na vā yātavyaṃ yāsthāmo vayam eva hi | na ca pīḍayitavyo me bhīṣmo dharmabhūtāṃ varaḥ ||

Translation

Yudhiṣṭhira said: “We must not proceed with an armed force; indeed, we ourselves shall go. And Bhīṣma—foremost among those established in dharma—must not be pained or troubled on my account.”
