Paraśurāma’s origins and the depletion/restoration of kṣatriya lineages
चरुद्धयं गृहीत्वा च राजन् सत्यवती तदा । भर्तुर्वाक्यं तदाव्यग्रा मात्रे हृष्टा न्यवेदयत्
caru-dvayaṁ gṛhītvā ca rājan satyavatī tadā | bhartur vākyaṁ tadāvyagrā mātre hṛṣṭā nyavedayat ||
O King, taking the two portions of sacrificial porridge (caru) in her hands, Satyavatī then went calmly to her mother. With joy, and without distraction, she conveyed to her mother the message spoken by her husband—acting with dutiful clarity and familial respect.
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct within the household: carrying out entrusted duties with composure (avyagrā), respecting family hierarchy, and communicating faithfully—especially when ritual or morally weighty instructions are involved.
Satyavatī takes two portions of consecrated caru and goes to her mother. Joyfully and calmly, she relays to her mother the instruction/message that her husband had given.
