Shanti Parva Chapter 38: Yudhishthira’s Inquiry into Rajadharma and the Prelude to Approaching Bhishma
We say to you, O righteous one: let this kind of fear depart from you. May well-being attend you, together with your brothers.
The verse emphasizes removing paralyzing fear and restoring auspicious confidence in a righteous person through truthful reassurance and blessing—especially important for a king whose moral clarity affects the realm.
After an impostor (Cārvāka, disguised as an ascetic) tries to unsettle the Pāṇḍavas, the Brahmins expose the deception and then console Yudhiṣṭhira, telling him to let such fear depart and invoking well-being for him and his brothers.
