Āścarya-kathana: Brāhmaṇa–Nāga Dialogue on Sūrya (Vivasvat) and the ‘Second Sun’ Phenomenon

ततो ज्येषछ्े तु दौहित्रे प्रादाद्‌ दक्षो नृपोत्तम । आदित्ये सवितुर्ज्येछ्ले विवस्वाउ्जगृहे तत:,नृपश्रेष्ठ! इसके बाद दक्षने अपने ज्येष्ठ दौहित्र-अदितिके सवितासे भी बड़े पुत्रको इस धर्मका उपदेश दिया। उन्हींसे विवस्वान्‌ (सूर्य) ने इस धर्मका उपदेश ग्रहण किया

tato jyeṣṭhe tu dauhitrē prādād dakṣo nṛpottama | āditye savitur jyeṣṭhe vivasvān jagṛhe tataḥ ||

Then, O best of kings, Dakṣa imparted this teaching of dharma to his eldest grandson—Āditya, the eldest son of Savitṛ. From him, thereafter, Vivasvān (the Sun) received and learned this doctrine.
