धर्मस्य बहुद्वारत्वम् — Nārada’s Audience with Indra (Śānti-parva 340)

ततो भूयो जगत्‌ सर्व करिष्यामीह विद्यया । अस्मिन्‌ मूर्तिश्चतुर्थी या सासृजच्छेषमव्ययम्‌,“तदनन्तर सृष्टिका समय आनेपर फिर उस विद्याशक्तिके ही द्वारा संसारके सारे चराचर प्राणियोंकी सृष्टि करूँगा। मेरी जो चार मूर्तियाँ हैं, उनमें जो चौथी वासुदेव मूर्ति है, उसने अविनाशी शेषको उत्पन्न किया है

tato bhūyo jagat sarva kariṣyāmīha vidyayā | asmin mūrtiś caturthī yā sā sṛjac cheṣam avyayam |

Bhishma said: “Thereafter, once again, by that very power of sacred knowledge, I shall bring forth here the entire universe of beings. Among my four manifested forms, the fourth—Vāsudeva—brought into being the imperishable Śeṣa.”
