Nāmānirukta of Nārāyaṇa (Keśava–Viṣṇu–Vāsudeva) and the Rudra–Nārāyaṇa Unity Theme
अन्योन्यं संविभाष्यैवं सुप्रीतमनस: पुनः । विज्ञापयन्ति सम गुरु पुनर्वाक्यविशारदा:
anyonyaṃ saṃvibhāṣyaivaṃ suprītamanasaḥ punaḥ | vijñāpayanti sma guruṃ punar vākyaviśāradāḥ ||
Having thus conversed with one another, all of them—teacher and disciples alike—became inwardly delighted. Then, the disciples, skilled in apt and well-formed speech, respectfully addressed their teacher again with a further request.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic method of learning: respectful dialogue, mutual satisfaction in inquiry, and the disciples’ disciplined, articulate approach when requesting further instruction from the guru.
After a mutual conversation that leaves everyone pleased, the eloquent disciples formally approach the teacher again, indicating a transition from informal discussion to a renewed, respectful petition for continued teaching.
