Vyāsa said: “Just as companies of apsarases, together with the great seers, enjoy the happiness that is the fruit of merit, so too in that realm the righteous—moving as they wish in celestial chariots—experience the pleasures born of their virtuous deeds.”

Happiness in higher realms is presented as the direct fruit of one’s deeds: virtuous action (puṇya-karma) ripens into refined enjoyment, including freedom of movement and companionship with exalted beings.
Vyāsa describes the condition of meritorious souls in a heavenly setting: like apsarases accompanying great seers and enjoying the results of merit, righteous people ride celestial vimānas and experience pleasures produced by their good actions.
