इन्द्रियेः सह सुप्तस्य देहिन: शत्रुतापन । सूक्ष्मश्वरति सर्वत्र नभसीव समीरण:,शत्रुओंको ताप देनेवाले नरेश! जब शरीरधारी प्राणी इन्द्रियोंसहित निद्रित हो जाता है, तब उसका सूक्ष्मशरीर आकाशमें वायुके समान सर्वत्र विचरण करने लगता है अर्थात्‌ स्वप्न देखने लगता है

“O scorcher of foes, when the embodied being falls asleep together with the senses, his subtle body roams everywhere like the wind in the sky—that is, he begins to dream.”
