अध्याय २९४ — योगलक्षणम् तथा सांख्यपरिसंख्यानम्
Yoga Definition and Sāṃkhya Enumeration
तस्मिन् हते&थ स्वं भावं प्रत्यपद्यन्त मानवा: । प्रापद्यन्त च वेदान् वै शास्त्राणि च यथा पुरा
tasmin hate ’tha svaṁ bhāvaṁ pratyapadyanta mānavāḥ | prāpadyanta ca vedān vai śāstrāṇi ca yathā purā ||
When he had been slain, people then returned to their own natural disposition. They once again took refuge in the Vedas and in the authoritative treatises, just as they had done in former times—restoring the older moral and social order grounded in sacred learning.
पराशर उवाच
When the source of disorder is removed, society can recover its innate balance and re-anchor itself in dharma by returning to the guidance of the Vedas and śāstras; ethical life is sustained by recognized sources of authority and disciplined conduct.
Parāśara describes a turning point: after a certain figure is killed, people regain their proper disposition and again follow Vedic and śāstric norms, as in earlier times—signaling the re-establishment of the prior righteous order.
