Chapter 29
चषाले यस्य सौवर्णे तस्मिन् यूपे हिरण्मये । ननुतुर्देवगन्धर्वा: घट सहस्रनाणि सप्तधा,“उनके उस सुवर्णमय यूपमें जो सोनेका चषाल (घेरा) बना था, उसके ऊपर छ: हजार देवगन्धर्व नृत्य किया करते थे। वहाँ साक्षात् विश्वावसु बीचमें बैठकर सात स्वरोंके अनुसार वीणा बजाया करते थे। उस समय सब प्राणी यही समझते थे कि ये मेरे ही आगे बाजा बजा रहे हैं
caṣāle yasya sauvarṇe tasmin yūpe hiraṇmaye | nanutur devagandharvāḥ ghaṭa-sahasraṇāṇi saptadhā |
Vāyu said: “Upon that golden sacrificial post, encircled with a golden caṣāla, hosts of Devas and Gandharvas danced in manifold measures. There, Viśvāvasu himself sat in the midst and played the vīṇā in accord with the seven notes. In that wondrous rite, every being felt as though the music were being performed for him alone.”
