akṛṣṭa-pacyā pṛthivī puṭake puṭake madhu | sarvā droṇa-dughā gāvo vainyasyāsan praśāsataḥ ||
In the time of King Pṛthu Vainya’s righteous rule, the earth yielded crops without being ploughed; every cluster of trees held honey-like sap; and all the cows gave a full droṇa-measure of milk.
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse teaches that dharmic kingship sustains a harmonious relationship between ruler, society, and nature: when the king governs justly, the earth becomes fertile, resources abound, and wellbeing spreads without exploitation.
Vāyu describes the extraordinary abundance during King Pṛthu Vainya’s reign—crops growing without ploughing, honey/sap present everywhere, and cows yielding immense milk—illustrating the ideal results of righteous शासन (rule).
