इत्युक्तो ब्रह्मणा देवो भागे चापि प्रकल्पिते । भगवन्तं तथेत्याह ब्रह्माणममितौजसम्
ity ukto brahmaṇā devo bhāge cāpi prakalpite | bhagavantaṃ tathety āha brahmāṇam amitaujasam ||
Bhishma said: Thus addressed by Brahmā, and with his allotted share also duly determined, the god replied, “So be it,” to the Blessed Brahmā of immeasurable splendor.

The verse highlights dharmic order: when authority (Brahmā) assigns roles or portions (bhāga), the proper response is disciplined acceptance and respectful assent, sustaining harmony rather than rivalry.
A deity, having been instructed by Brahmā and having his allotted portion determined, responds affirmatively—“tathā” (“so be it”)—to Brahmā, acknowledging Brahmā’s directive and the established arrangement.
