तामुवाच महाबाहो ब्रह्म॒वध्यां पितामह:

Transliteration

tām uvāca mahābāho brahmavadhyāṃ pitāmahaḥ

Translation

Bhīṣma said: “O mighty-armed one, the Grandsire addressed her—one who was not to be slain, being under the protection of Brahmanical sanctity.”
