Parāśara’s Counsel on बुद्धि (Discernment), Karma-Consequences, and Avoidance of Pāpānubandha Actions
असिश्रि: पट्टिशै: शूलै: शक्तितोमुद्गरै: | शिलाभिरवविंविधाभिश्न कार्मुकैश्न महास्वनै:,उस समय तलवार, पट्टिश, त्रिशूल, शक्ति, तोमर, मुद्गर, नाना प्रकारकी शिला, भयानक टंकार करनेवाले धनुष, अनेक प्रकारके दिव्य अस्त्र-शस्त्र तथा आगकी ज्वालाओंसे एवं देवताओं और असुरोंकी सेनाओंसे यह सारा आकाश व्याप्त हो गया
asiśriḥ paṭṭiśaiḥ śūlaiḥ śaktitomudgaraiḥ | śilābhir avavimvidhābhiś ca kārmukaiś ca mahāsvanaiḥ |
Bhīṣma said: “Then the whole sky became filled with swords, paṭṭiśa-blades, tridents, spears, tomara-javelins, and maces; with rocks hurled in many ways; and with great-sounding bows whose dreadful twang resounded—indeed, with diverse divine weapons and missiles, with tongues of fire, and with the gathered hosts of gods and asuras.”
