Vaiśampāyana said: Having upheld the earth through disciplined governance (daṇḍanīti), together with yogic resolve in action and the renunciation of ego (nyāsa), and having attained both divine and human forms of success, that righteous and great-souled king Vājigrīva now rejoices in the world of the gods as a result of his merit.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Righteous kingship is portrayed as a synthesis of effective governance (daṇḍanīti), energetic commitment to duty (yoga), and inner renunciation of ego and attachment (nyāsa). Such rule, grounded in dharma, yields both worldly stability and spiritual merit culminating in heavenly reward.
The narrator Vaiśampāyana states that King Vājigrīva protected and administered the earth using sound political discipline while combining purposeful action with renunciation. Because of this dharmic conduct and the merit it generated, he is said to be enjoying happiness in devaloka.
