आत्मदर्शन-उपदेशः (Ātma-darśana Upadeśa) — Mind, Senses, and the All-pervading Self

etāṃ dvādaśasāhastrīṃ yugākhyāṃ kavayo viduḥ | sahasraparivarta tad brāhmaṃ divasam ucyate ||

Vyāsa said: The sages know that the age called a yuga amounts to twelve thousand (years) of the gods. A thousand such revolutions (of the four-yuga cycle) are declared to constitute a single day of Brahmā. Thus the teaching places human time within a vast cosmic order, urging humility and steadiness in dharma amid the rise and fall of ages.
