प्रयत्नेनापि चारक्षच्चित्तं पुत्रस्य वै पिता

Transliteration

prayatnenāpi cārakṣac cittaṃ putrasya vai pitā

Translation

Śakra said: Even with earnest effort, the father could not safeguard or steady his son’s mind—showing how a parent’s care has limits when inner resolve and self-control are lacking.
