कालनिर्णयः, युगधर्मवर्णनम्, सृष्टिक्रमश्च
Time-Reckoning, Yuga-Dharma, and the Sequence of Creation

बलिरवाच अनित्यमुपलक्ष्येह कालपर्यायधर्मत: । तस्माच्छक्र न शोचामि सर्व होवेदमन्तवत्,बलिने कहा--इन््द्र! कालचक्र स्वभावसे ही परिवर्तनशील है, उसके द्वारा यहाँकी प्रत्येक वस्तुको मैं अनित्य समझता हूँ, इसीलिये कभी शोक नहीं करता हूँ; क्योंकि यह सारा जगत् विनाशशील है
Translation
Bali said: “O Śakra, Indra! Seeing that time, by its very nature, turns and changes, I regard all things here as impermanent. Therefore I do not grieve, for this whole world has an end and is destined to perish.”
