कालनिर्णयः, युगधर्मवर्णनम्, सृष्टिक्रमश्च

अहमेवोद्वहाम्यापो विसृजामि च वासव । तपामि चैव त्रैलोक्यं विद्योताम्पहमेव च,वासव! मैं ही सूर्य बनकर अपनी किरणोंद्वारा पृथ्वीका जल ऊपर उठाता और मेघ बनकर वर्षा करता था। मैं ही त्रिलोकीको ताप देता और विद्युत् बनकर प्रकाश फैलाता था
aham evodvahāmy āpo visṛjāmi ca vāsava | tapāmi caiva trailokyaṁ vidyotāmy aham eva ca ||
Śakra said: “I alone draw up the waters and I alone release them again, O Vāsava.
