Indra and Namuci on grief, composure, and inevitability

असंसर्गो हि भूतेषु संसग्गों वा विनाशिषु । कस्मै क्रियेत कल्प्येत निश्चय: को<त्र तत्त्वतः,मृत्यु होनेके पश्चात्‌ जीवात्माका विनाशशील पञ्चमहाभूतोंसे कोई संसर्ग रहता है या नहीं? यदि रहता है तो किसलिये रहता है? इस विषयमें यथार्थरूपसे क्या निश्चय किया जा सकता है?

After death, does the living Self retain any association with the perishable five great elements, or does it not? If it does, for what reason does it remain? And in this matter, what certainty can truly be established in accordance with reality?
