Indra and Namuci on grief, composure, and inevitability

अनात्मेति च यद्‌ दृष्टं तेनाहं न ममेत्यपि । वर्तते किमधिष्ठानात्‌ प्रसक्ता दुः:खसंसृति:,इसके विपरीत जिनकी दृष्टिमें यह दृश्य प्रपंच अनात्मा सिद्ध हो चुका है, उनकी इसके प्रति न ममता होती है न अहंता, फिर उन्हें दुःखपरम्परा कैसे प्राप्त हो; उन दुःखोंके लिये आधार ही क्या रह जाता है?

But for one who has seen that what is perceived is not the Self, there arises neither “I” nor “mine” toward it. Then from what support could the cycle of suffering take hold and continue? What basis would remain for those sorrows?
