नोपसर्पद्‌ विमुज्चद्‌ वा शशिन दृश्यते तम: । विसृजंश्नोपसर्पश्च॒ तद्बधत्‌ पश्य शरीरिणम्‌,जैसे अन्धकाररूप राहु चन्द्रमाकी ओर आता और उसे छोड़कर जाता हुआ नहीं दिखायी देता है, उसी प्रकार जीवात्मा भी शरीरमें आता और उसे छोड़कर जाता हुआ नहीं दीख पड़ता है ऐसा समझो

“Just as the darkness called Rāhu is not seen approaching the Moon or departing from it, so too the jīva is not seen entering the body or leaving it—understand it thus.”
